INNER CRITIC REFRAME

Challenge the Critic, Soothe the Child

🔴 CRITIC VOICE

"You are such a failure. Everyone can see you don't belong here."

Targets: Vulnerable ChildContext: After a mistake at work or in relationship

The Reframe Process:

  1. Notice: "There\'s the critic voice. This is a schema, not fact."
  2. Name: Identify which schema (abandonment, defectiveness, etc.) and which child mode is targeted.
  3. Challenge: What would I tell a friend hearing this? What\'s the evidence against this message?
  4. Compassion: Speak to the vulnerable child with kindness and protection.
  5. Choose: Act from Healthy Adult, not from the critic\'s demands.
