IMAGERY RESCRIPTING

Healing Past Memories

Step 1 of 7

1

Relaxation & Safe Place

3-5 minutes

Establish a relaxed state and identify a safe, comforting image.

🗣️ Guided Script

"Let your eyes close gently. Take a few deep breaths. Now imagine a place where you feel completely safe and at peace. This could be real or imagined. Notice what you see, hear, and feel in this place."

🧘 Your Focus

Feel your body relax. Connect with sensations of safety.

⚠️ Safety Note: Imagery rescripting can bring up strong emotions. It is recommended to do this with a trained schema therapist, especially for trauma memories. If doing alone, ensure you have support available and stop if you become overwhelmed.
